Booking Information
Thank you for your interest in booking Tracy Howe. Please note the information here is provided as a base line that many people find helpful in knowing how much this work actually costs. However, Tracy has worked hard to be able to respond to the needs of people and can also consult to help groups think of creative ways to find resources. Ultimately, if there is an opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact her no matter what your current resources are.
IN CONCERT
Tracy Howe has been a full time independent artist for nearly 8 years, playing on over 100 university campuses, touring throughout North, Central and South America, singing in English, Spanish and Portuguese and continues to maintain touring in general market venues. She plays acoustic and electric guitar and was classically trained as a pianist, and many different words and genres have described her in different seasons, from singer-songwriter to emo-femme to cultural fusion. In any concert setting, from a large gathering to house concert, Tracy hopes listeners leave different than when they arrived as she shares through stories and music influenced by the people and cultures she has intersected over the years.
IN WORSHIP
In the last seven years, Tracy has worshipped with over 300 groups in multiple countries and languages. In addition to being a guest worship leader/facilitator, she loves working with local leaders and artists and an helping them explore their own unique expression. Currently she is sharing new material from the project, “Songs For a Revolution of Hope, Vol. 1” which she co-produced with Brian McLaren specifically for the Everything Must Change tour. She also loves teaching songwriting workshops and facilitating group collaborations to help groups start creating their own work, or mature in what they are already creating.
SPEAKING/TEACHING
In addition to being an artist and worship leader, Tracy is a seasoned speaker and teacher and loves to encourage individuals and communities in reconnecting with their purpose in worship and how our expression is related to restoration. Tracy continues to work with a diverse cross section of the body and in her current season she has been focused on deepening relationships with a handful of communities in the US and South America, developing and sharing international resources and exploring alternative and sustainable models of touring and artistry that release people into their work, regardless of socio--economic situations or community size. All of these things have given her stories and encouragements to share with creative and faith communities.
Financial Basics
Part of Tracy’s work is a commitment to work with hosts to create unique events that are life giving to the communities involved, whether it be a general market concert, leading worship for Sunday morning services, or leading workshops for artists and leaders. In general, Tracy needs travel expenses, transportation and housing provided in addition to an honorarium to cover living expenses that can be worked out depending on the length and demands of the event, retreat/conference or gathering. On many occassions, a host may find another "gig," or take a love offering to help support Tracy's expenses. A 20% deposit made payable to Restoration Village will secure the date.
House Concerts
Part of the shift towards house concerts is the desire to be accesible to anyone who has a loving vision to gather people in their home. House concerts are economical and a wonderful way to encourage and build community. For house concerts, Tracy asks for a $400 garauntee with a $200 deposit to secure the date. (The hosts can generally recoup the expense by asking attendees for a $10 suggested donation). While traveling, Tracy needs 4 house concerts in a metro area to make the trip work, as well as for housing and transportation to be provided.
